2) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on the website. The “Effective date” shows when the latest version took effect. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
3) Website use
You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with security or other users. Content is provided for general information and may change without notice.
4) Pre-launch registrations & marketing
By joining the pre-launch list you consent to receive course updates, dates, and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time. Joining the list does not guarantee a place in any intake until you complete enrolment and payment (where applicable).
5) Enrolment, accounts & Student Portal
When enrolments open you may be required to create an account to access online materials and the Student Portal. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
6) Eligibility & regulatory requirements
Training and accreditation pathways are subject to Australian law and regulator (e.g., CASA) requirements, which may include identity verification, age limits, medical/fitness to fly, and assessment standards. You are responsible for meeting eligibility requirements. We will outline applicable prerequisites at enrolment.
7) Courses & delivery
-
Online theory (when available): self-paced learning with quizzes and resources.
-
In-person training: scheduled sessions at published locations (initially Sunshine Coast, QLD) covering mission planning, normal and emergency procedures, and practical assessment readiness.
-
We may update curriculum and schedules to maintain quality and compliance.
8) Pricing, GST & payments
All prices are shown in AUD. Unless stated otherwise, prices include GST. We may change prices at any time before you complete purchase. Payments are processed by reputable third-party providers; we do not store full card numbers. You agree to pay any transaction fees displayed at checkout.
9) Cancellations, transfers & refunds
We will publish the detailed policy at enrolment for each product/session. In general:
-
Online theory: a reasonable cooling-off policy applies if you have not substantially accessed the content.
-
In-person training: you may transfer to another date with adequate notice; sessions affected by unsafe weather are rescheduled at no additional cost.
-
Where the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) applies, your statutory rights are preserved (see Section 15).
10) Scheduling, weather & location changes
For safety and operational reasons we may change or postpone sessions (e.g., adverse weather, airspace restrictions, instructor availability). If we change, we will offer a suitable alternative date/time or a credit/refund consistent with the published policy and the ACL.
11) Student responsibilities
You must:
-
Follow instructor directions, site rules and safety procedures;
-
Use equipment responsibly;
-
Disclose relevant fitness/medical limitations that could affect safe participation;
-
Comply with all applicable laws and local conditions (airspace, privacy, landowner permissions, etc.).
We may refuse or discontinue training if safety is compromised.
12) Equipment
Unless advised, training aircraft are provided. If you bring your own RPA it must be airworthy, configured safely and suitable for the session. You are responsible for damage to your own equipment and for any damage caused by misuse or ignoring directions.
13) Accreditation & certification disclaimer
Completion of the online course alone does not grant a licence or accreditation. Accreditation/licensing outcomes depend on successful completion of required assessments and regulator prerequisites. Our training is aligned to the Australian RPAS framework but is not an endorsement, approval, or affiliation by any government agency.
14) Information & general advice disclaimer
Materials are provided for education and general guidance. They are not legal advice. Operational decisions must consider your aircraft, environment and current laws/NOTAMs. Always check authoritative sources before flight.
15) Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Our Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. For major failures you are entitled to a refund or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. For minor failures we may choose to repair, replace or resupply the Services. To the extent permitted by law, and except as set out in the ACL, our liability is limited to resupplying the Services or paying the cost of having the Services resupplied.
16) Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or opportunity, fines or penalties arising from your operations, or losses caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.
17) Indemnity
You indemnify us (and our instructors, officers and contractors) against claims, loss, or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful acts, or misuse of equipment or facilities.
18) Intellectual property
All course materials, videos, text, graphics, logos and downloads are our intellectual property or used under licence. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for your own training. You must not copy, share, resell or publicly distribute materials without written permission.
19) User content & testimonials
If you submit reviews, images or feedback you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use them for training and marketing (you may withdraw consent for future use by writing to us). You are responsible for content you submit.
20) Third-party tools & links
We use third-party platforms (e.g., payments, bookings, analytics). Their terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours. We are not responsible for external sites or services.
21) Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (including severe weather, emergencies, regulator or airspace restrictions, network outages, or illness).
22) Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information. By using the Services you consent to our privacy practices.
23) Complaints & dispute resolution
If you have a concern, contact us first at support@dronetraininghub.com.au and we’ll try to resolve it promptly. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the ACL.
24) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts (and courts of appeal). If you train in another state, local safety and venue rules also apply.
